Pre-College: Industrial Design


An immersive, high energy week-long class that introduces the student to the thinking, skills and methods used by industrial designers in the creation of new products. Students will practice studies in form, light + shadow, and structures. Students will experience design research, conceptualization, sustainable design, and working with materials to create study models that solve user problems. Practicing empathy, students will invest time in research by observing human behavior for insights that lead to ideas and innovation. Teamwork and collaboration will be required.
