Small Boxes

Details

As a child, the box was always better than what came in it.  This course will explore box making and provide students with the basic woodworking techniques fundamental to the craft.  Boxes are a fun project that can range from simple to complex.  In this course students will complete two or more solid wood small boxes using a variety of joinery methods and styles.  

Student will learn about wood characteristics, proper milling techniques, machine tool use and shop safety.  Students will be given several designs to explore and expand upon.

This course is ideal for both persons new to woodworking and those looking for a fun way to expand their skill sets.  Some materials will be provided, students will supplement following the first class.
