Dream it and make it!

Come explore the world of making in a collaborative and creative environment. Our studios provide a community of members that feed inspiration and support making. Maker Space Wood is designed for highly experienced artists and makers who have the independent skills necessary to bring their ideas to fruition. You will have access to our Open Studio hours and select equipment, following all policies and procedures required in each department and studio. After your Maker Space request to a studio manager and department head, you will be tested on specific equipment you are requesting to use. After approval, you will be given an orientation on policies, equipment safety and clean-up to ensure success in our studios.

Please note that fees do not cover materials. Any materials being brought in by students must have prior approval for use. The C&C Router is not available to Maker Space Wood.

The Wood Studio has a buddy-system policy for safety, so there is never just one student working in the studio. You may not work alone in the studio. Every effort will be made to help you connect to other students for arranging time and schedules for the buddy-system policy.

Prerequisites: All Maker Space students are required to have prior experience, be self-sufficient and know how to use studio equipment. Registration is contingent upon testing and approval.
