Liz Clay is an internationally renowned textile artist who specializes in handmade felt for haute couture and other high-end niche markets. Featured in Vogue and textile publications worldwide, her knowledge and research development of fine felt fabrics is sought by fashion houses in Paris and London.

Collaborations include: Givenchy, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney and Christopher Kane for their couture collections.

Recipient of a Crafts Council Award in 2004 she has since won several export awards where her innovative and exclusive designs have attracted international acclaim exhibiting regularly in London, New York, Paris, Tokyo and los Angeles. 

Liz Clay is an experienced teacher and university lecturer, researcher and author of Nuno Felt, a book devoted to this fascinating felt making technique. Her PhD investigates the potential of British waste wool for fine felt making.
