SHILOH GASTELLO is a ceramic artist and instructor who resides in Portland, OR. He earned his MFA In Craft at the Oregon College of Art and Craft in Spring of 2016. He has been working with clay since 2009, exploring functional and sculptural methods of making work inspired by combining Victorian and Japanese aesthetics.
Gastello has exhibited in numerous national exhibitions including Akar Art in Iowa City, IA, The Charley Cummings Gallery in Gainesville, FL, The Clay Studio of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA, the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco, CA, and the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts in San Angelo, TX. Gastello was most recently published in Clay Times Magazine, chosen as a National Niche Awards Finalist, and received an Emerging Artist Award for his work in the Art In The Pearl Fine Arts and Crafts Festival in Portland, OR.
