Rietz, Liza

LIZA RIETZ holds a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Lewis and Clark college and is a self taught clothing designer whose clothing line has been available for custom and retail since 2002. Liza has participated in dozens of group and independent fashion shows across our region and internationally. Most recently, Liza’s designs have been featured in The Museum of Contemporary Craft's "Fashioning Cascadia" exhibit (showcasing her emphasis on the architectural and sculptural aspects of clothing) and her work was featured in the opening night fashion show for The Portland Art Museum’s Italian Fashion Exhibit. As a returning studio school instructor at OCAC, Liza shares her approach to clothing design as an art form and is excited to explore design techniques through teaching. Liza currently designs and sells her pieces out of her retail shop in Portland. You can view her work at www.lizarietz.com and at www.shopsixseven.com.
