OCAC Librarian Receives Award for Online Information Literacy Tutorial

February 14, 2017

Oregon College of Art and Craft's librarian, Elsa Loftis, received the Worldwide Book Award for Best Electronic Resource for her work with fellow AICAD library colleagues creating an online course called "Information Literacy with Elsa Loftis." The course is available to all on Lynda.com (you can access it via the library website!). The team of librarians from colleges across the country (OCAC, the Laguna College of Art + Design, MICA, Otis, and SFAI) collaborated to create an online course that teaches information literacy and research strategy to art and design students. The award was given to Elsa and her colleagues at the Art Libraries Society of North America Annual Conference in New Orleans on February 8, 2017.
